Can you make excel spread sheet following the instruction below?
Instructions:
In this exercise, you will explore the triangle above using Excel.
1. Create an excel spreadsheet with the following column headers: C (in inches), theta (in degrees), beta (in degrees), B (in inches), and Area (in sq. in.) (5 points)
2. Use fill to populate C with integer values from 1 to 15. (5 points)
3. Create formulas to calculate theta, beta, B and Area. (40 points)
4. Extend the first column to include C values up to 30. What happens to your calculations? Why does this happen? What is the maximum value C can have? (10 points)
5. Look at the Area column. Is the Area always increasing? Between which two values of C does the area decrease? (20 points)
6. Insert rows with values of C that fall between the two values named in #5 (in other words, use decimals, not integers). Try different values of C to maximize the Area of the triangle. At which value of C does Amax occur? At which value of theta does Amax occur? (20 points)
Extra credit 30 points
Derive your result for the maximum area mathematically use Calculus.
Calculate the value of theta at which the maximum area occurs and the value of Amax.
Show ALL work neatly!
