Reflecting on the large-scale research project we've worked on over the past three weeks, I think the most challenging part for me was synthesizing a wide range of sources and effectively integrating them into a coherent argument. I found it difficult to balance different perspectives and ensure that my recommendations were both well-supported by evidence and clear to the reader. At times, it was hard to know how much to quote or paraphrase versus just summarizing ideas, and I wanted to make sure the voice of the paper remained my own while still giving credit to the sources. To handle this challenge, I spent a lot of time organizing my sources by theme and developing a clear outline to help me map out where each piece of information would fit into my argument. This allowed me to stay focused on my thesis and prevent the paper from becoming too disjointed.

Looking back at the first assignment where I identified my issues with the writing process, I had mentioned that I often struggled with starting the writing process early enough, which led to rushing through drafting and revision. I've definitely made improvements in this area. For this project, I made a point to start my research and drafting earlier, which gave me more time to refine my ideas and revise more thoroughly. I also realized the importance of taking breaks during the revision process and coming back to my work with fresh eyes. In the past, I would try to revise all at once but spreading it out and giving myself time to reflect made the process smoother.

That said, I still recognize areas for improvement especially with managing the overall structure of longer papers. While I've gotten better with organization, I still sometimes find myself overthinking transitions between sections. I plan to keep working on this by paying closer attention to how each section builds on the last and ensuring that my conclusions are always tightly connected to my research findings.

2. Reflecting on the recent research project, the most challenging part for me was managing the entire process as it was my first time undertaking such a large-scale assignment. Additionally, technical difficulties arose when my laptop stopped working, which added to the challenge. To handle this, I diligently followed all instructions provided and adapted by using my phone to complete the work. This required extra effort in terms of organization and time management, but it taught me resilience and adaptability.

Looking back at my initial assessment of the writing process, I identified several areas for improvement, such as organizing my thoughts clearly and developing a coherent structure for my writing. Throughout this project, I believe I have made significant progress in these areas. By breaking down the assignment into smaller tasks, I was able to focus on each part individually, which helped improve the overall flow and clarity of my writing. Additionally, the necessity to use my phone forced me to be more concise and precise with my language, further enhancing my communication skills.

Overall, while challenges were present, they served as valuable learning experiences. The writing process is indeed ongoing, and I am committed to continuing my efforts towards improvement. Each project provides new insights and opportunities to refine my skills, and I am optimistic about further developing my abilities as a writer and communicator.
