Sexual Harassment Case Mrs. Mila Julia worked for Smith College as a teacher. In addition, after starting her employment, Mrs. Mila Julia received special training on sexual harassment. In the school there was one (1) director and one (1) associate director. Ms. Mila Julia alleges that her associate director, Mr. Calvert, began to sexually harass her and used phrases such as: "Mommy, is all that yours?"; "if I catch you, ..;; and "what you need is a good kiss from...". She also argued that when Mr. Calvert passed through confined spaces he brushed against his body. Mrs. Mila Julia indicated that she was affected by the actions of the associate director and that she informed the director of this. The director met with the two and the associate director apologized. However, at the end of the meeting, Mr. Calvert told Ms. Mila Julia that "if things were bad, they were going to get worse." The teacher tried to tell the director what had happened, but she did not listen to her. The next day, Ms. Mila Julia informed the principal that she wanted to file a sexual harassment complaint against Mr. Calvert. The complaint was completed and the college later subpoenaed Mr. Calvert, who voluntarily resigned to avoid being fired.
