Assignment:

Develop an electronic and printed version to showcase your career portfolio sharing your experiences, skills, and accomplishments. Career portfolios are becoming an essential part of the interview process. A well-organized, creative career portfolio can be used as a powerful tool in an employment or college interview. It provides proof of your skills and achievements by presenting examples of your best work. The most important rule to follow is BE YOURSELF as you try to communicate your passions, talents, experience, and accomplishments. Cover page - be creative, but professional Table of Contents/Content Page Objective Cover letter Resume List of References Letters of Reference Etc

Whatever you choose to include, make sure they are current and as relevant/related to the career you are planning to get into, and highlight knowledge/skills/abilities of interest to an interviewer).

Your electronic version is designed to complement your resume, cover letter, and interview responses. The objective of creating and using a print and an online portfolio is for you to demonstrate to an employer that you have the skill set that he/she is seeking.

Your printed career portfolio is graded based on the following: Originality Work Philosophy Career Goals Skill Sections Achievements Community/ Volunteer work Professional Licenses and Membership References

Online portfolio is graded based on the following : Your personal brand How you leverage the media/various use of social media platforms Create a user-friendly experience Optimize for wireless devices How you engage via your about page
