CASE SUMMARY: The Orleans Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas was built in $1997,$ well after the enactment of the American's with Disabilities Act. There were $819$ bathroom doors that were $28$ inches wide, but ADA requires a $32-$inch width for new construction. In addition, the Casino bar areas were not accessible for people with disabilities.

The Court of Appeals ruled that the Hotel must modify $819$ of its rooms to expand the bathroom doors, as well as make the Casino bar areas accessible.
