Hi Chris, Great to have you on board. This is Jamie from Finance. As you know, the company has experienced especially rapid growth over the past six months, which has caused everyone to be busier than usual. With the increase in the number of projects, my team in finance has been under the pump keeping track of expenditures. Many of my staff are working beyond their hours of work and are feeling the stress due to the increased workload. I tried to talk to HR to see what additional resources and/or benefits we can provide to my staff that can help relieve the stress so they feel valued and supported. I have had very little success in getting Fanny to see my perspective. She keeps telling me that my staff are not the only ones experiencing the pressure and added workload. She thinks that if she gives my team members any special concessions, this will be expected by other staff as well. She has said to me that I need to somehow manage my staff’s expectations and the situation. I am hoping that now that you are on board you could fight my case for additional resources/compensation for my staff so that they feel satisfied and motivated.
