Case 3-15 Information System Testing Plan

You are in the process of implementing a new release of information (ROI)/accounting of disclosure system. You have an existing computerized ROI system, so the employees are comfortable with the technology-they just need to learn how to use the new one.

As part of the implementation plan for the new ROI/accounting of disclosure system, you will need to create a testing plan that should include the following:

1. Identify testing that needs to be conducted prior to implementation.

2. Identify a minimum of five scenarios that you would encounter when using the information system during testing.

3. Identify the steps to be taken when a problem is identified.

4. Identify the criteria used to determine if the information system is ready for implementation.

5. Identify who should be included in the implementation of the testing plan.
