Case Study 1: Project Management The client is an IT lecturer at MIT and wants an app developed to facilitate and manage the IT equipments storage and booking. The following is the clients description of the project: Teachers, students and staff of the university require different equipment to do their jobs. There are always issues in locating the equipment when they are need it. I would like to have an app for our students and staff to quickly find lab equipment available in both campuses. I have a list of equipment, their location, their functionalities etc. Users of the app should then be able to provide their requirements and the app will then identify what equipment can be used and where they are available. It would also be good to store all the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS), risk assessments, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to the equipment in the app so users can quickly access them. A booking system for the equipment would be nice too. We can start simple and build up as we go. The client risks for this project are low, however you can assume some risks involved in this project and manage it yourself if necessary.
