Case study 3 (10 Marks) Sultan polymers LLC is the pioneer producer in the polymer industry. Polymers are used as an input for producing engineering plastics which are lighter but stronger than general plastics. These plastics are going to be used as an industrial raw material for producing automobiles and electronic parts. This company serves the clients in Oman and also in the other GCC markets. Because of high demand for the company products, Sultan polymers planned for expanding its production operations by installing new machines in the new plant inaugurated by his majesty. In connection to the new plant, the company must need additional manpower. The new plant has 5 floors and each floor requires a supervisor to take care of the production activity. These supervisors should have a bachelor degree in Chemical engineering and need to possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in the relevant field. A chemical engineer and floor in-charge should be able to understand the process of designing and troubleshooting the production of chemicals, fuels, foods, pharmaceuticals, and biologicals, just to name a few. The recruitment team already received the applications and it should start initiating the selection process. Based on the case, answer the following questions: 1.
