You have been hired as the occupational health and safety manager for a SpendMart in town. The store manager is approached you as they have heard about fires across town at a drugstore and small convenience store. Both businesses were totally destroyed it has got him thinking about how prepared they are at SpendMart. For a fire they know they have sprinklers and smoke detectors, but they do not have a plan what to do in case there is a fire or something similar and people need to be evacuated. The manager wants to know what needs to be done to ensure that a basic emergency preparedness plan is in place. The store is a relatively older store and employs 120 workers. On any given day, the store as anywhere between 20-30 employees working and engage every morning for a safety talk prior to opening the store.
