Sohail Industries LLC. is a leading manufacturer of electrical appliances in East Africa. The company runs about 50 exclusive brand showrooms across the region. The company is the first in Africa region to provide the doorstep service for its customers. Owing to the quality of goods and services the company offers, it became the most successful brand in short period of time.

Also, the company follows eco-friendly approach by taking measures to minimize pollution and avoids dumping of industrial waste in the rivers and seas. As the business expanded, it needed more

manpower and couldnt find qualified human resource to employ from the region. The company

researched and found that, the reason for non-availability of qualified and skilled manpower is illiteracy in the region due to poverty that is existing there. The company found that children work in the farms instead of going to school to earn a living.

Sohail Industries LLC. decided to deal with this situation by aiming at Zero Hunger and improved literacy in the region. The brand joined hands with the Government to initiate a mid-day meal program in various government schools of the region and to increase the number of students attending school so that the problems of hunger and illiteracy can be tackled.
