1) Consider the different speeches by Higgins and Tames. Referring to the theories and concepts covered in this course, explain how both women use influence techniques to persuade their audience.

2) In the second half of the trimester, we looked at conflict and leadership. Both Higgins and Tames embrace conflict in their speeches. Referring to the conflict models discussed in week 10, explain the approach/approaches taken by both Higgins and Tames. Discuss the similarities and differences between the approaches taken by both women.

3) Considering the theories related to communication, leadership and the effective use of social media, what advice would you give to Tames and to Higgins on how to be more influential and persuasive?

The Case Study will enable you to explore contemporary themes such as: Becoming Influential, Negotiation, Conflict and Communication (covered in Weeks 8-11) You will be provided the Case Study by Week 6. By thoroughly reviewing the Case Study and its key themes, students will analyse the Case Study and respond to the three (3) questions provided. Students will also be provided with a structure for the individual report. Students must refer to at least three (3) theories and include a minimum of four (4) academic references.
