CASE STUDY I Uber Technologies, Inc., is the biggest taxi company in the world using and running by technology Company is commonly known as Uber. It is an American multinational ride-hailing company offering services that include peer-to-peer ridesharing, ride service hailing, food delivery (Uber Eats), and a micro mobility system with electric bikes and scooters. The company is based in San Francisco and has operations in over 785 metropolitan areas worldwide. Their platforms can be accessed via its websites and mobile apps. Through the websites and mobile app, taxi owners can register their vehicle for the transportation service in a registered city where Uber is providing service. Customers are also able to make a registration through their website and mobile apps. Company has more than 22000 employees in the worldwide. Uber has around 75 million customers and 3.9 million drivers. Uber taxi is available in 24/7 to ensure the convenience of customers. Uber service is completely automated service using technology. How it works? The customer (rider) enters their destination into the "Where to?" box, reviews cach ride option for vehicle size, price (depends the distance of destinations), and estimated drop off time, chooses the desired option; then confirms the pickup. Once it is confirmed, a nearby driver sees and chooses to accept the customer's ride request. The rider is automatically notified when the driver's vehicle is about a minute away. The driver and the rider verify cach other's names and the destination. Then the driver starts the ride. The app gives the driver the option to access turn-by-turn directions. Rider can pay his amount through the mobile app or website. So, once he reached at destination, he can get out from the taxi directly Uber use GPS in their mobile app to track their car and customer. This system will help both parties to make their trip casy. Customer can find the available taxi at the earliest and car driver can find a new customer very easily.
