ITC Network and Farms Ghana International, a company that produces concord plus iodized salt, was visited by a Daily Graphic reporter who had some ticklish questions. The reporter succeeded in getting the information he needed for publication from the sources that matter. Ahead of the release of the news story by the reporter, the company sent out a national press release denying a number of rumours and allegations, some of which were not raised by the reporter. The effect was to publicize rumours that would not have otherwise made to print. The Graphic Business newspaper ran a special story critical of the companys public relations technique.
