The employees at Metal Technologies would hold the answer to improving the reputation and brand awareness of the company. The people working directly on the plant, training new employees, and leading teams can help provide the most meaningful research results.

After reviewing the types of biases and effects, the questions asked in the engagement survey were all carefully phrased. These questions can be grouped into basic needs, individual, teamwork, and growth. They look at whether the employee has a clear understanding of their role, how their individual contributions are impacting the organization, gauge their sense of belonging, and gauge their thoughts on growth opportunities. By gauging the value of contributions by employees, it can provide a sense of where the employer brand currently is and allow for improvements.

Since this survey was already conducted, there were several challenges to overcome. One of the biggest challenges was seeking respondents. Some of the more senior employees did not care to participate like some of the newer employees. The foundry runs three shifts, so attempting to capture all shifts and areas was challenging. Another challenge was explaining to employees that it was anonymous. Since Metal Technologies utilized Gallup for the survey, the software was different than past surveys the company has conducted which made some employees leery.
