LEARNING OBJECTIVES The key learning objectives include the following learning general research principles, with a focus on electronic (web-based) research learning basic principles of gathering data from primary sources (eg., by interviewing someone) learning the basic principles of effective source documentation and citation styles, including when to paraphrase and when to quote. One key assignment requirement is to use one of these citation styles in your proposal ASSIGNMENT CONTEXT Audience: Your CMNS 1140 Instructor Purpose: To convince your CMNS 1140 instructor that you have a viable and valid research proposal looking towards your final CMNS 1140 assignment--the Career Research Report-and that first year students in your program or field might find your final research report informative and interesting. 7. Explain how each of these questions will benefit first year students in your field. Pretend that you would be presenting your report findings to these students at the end of the semester Address the benefits to first year students for each question that you intend to research.
