Instructions

Complete the Chapter 2 Case Study (pp.42-43) in your textbook. Read the scenario, perform research as indicated and create an HIM dashboard and memo to present to the chief clinical officer.

Deliverables

Create a user-friendly dashboard including key performance indicators from each functional area and the HIM department. Make sure a benchmark is included for each key performance indicator. Create a memo to the chief clinical officer to accompany the dashboard using these parameters:

1. There is no template provided. Part of the assignment requires the student to perform research on effective dashboards and create their own dashboard.Use Google or other search engines to research this if needed.
2. The dashboard should be created in Excel.An example is provided below.
3. The memo to the chief clinical officer should include at least the following regarding implementation: data collection method, communication plan for the managers and leads, and the HIM department timeline.Use create a memo using Microsoft Word or if you're using a Mac then convert the file to a PDF before you submit it. Only Microsoft files and PDFs are accepted in this course.
4. An APA-formatted reference must be provided to support the dashboard research. This should not be part of thememo, butbe provided as a separate document with your memo.I will accept the external references added to the end of your memo if you do not want to create a separate document.
