The informal organization might be defined as the personal relationships, professional connections and communities of common interest in an organization. Informal mentoring relationships, the company softball team and factions arising to resist a planned change effort are all examples. It exists outside of formally designated roles, and task and authority relationships (i.e. formal organizational structure). Describe one way the informal organization affects an organization's performance.
