You are required to meet with a representative of the community group.

Scenario

It is now six weeks since you established the collaborative relationship with a service provider to support Lin Li in meeting her highest priority goal. The relationship between the two service providers is progressing to plan. Feedback from Lin is that the arrangements are working well, and she feels she is on her way to achieving her goals. At your last meeting with Lin, and based on feedback from the service provider, it was agreed that it is now time to establish a relationship with a service provider that can help Lin achieve her second-highest priority goal.

Good morning Tori,

I believe you have now implemented arrangements with the service provider identified that First Access will work with to support Lin Li's highest priority need. Great news!

Please meet with the organisation you identified as appropriate for supporting Lin's next highest priority.

Please make sure you address the following at your meeting:

• Introduce First Access and its services.
• Provide an overview of Lin's needs and how you feel the organisation in question can meet those needs.
• Outline your proposal for collaboration between First Access and the service provider. You will need to negotiate this with the attendees.
• Outline arrangements and progress already made with the first service provider to ensure there is no duplication between services.

As you know, we wish to expand our relationships with other service providers, so please represent us positively.

During the role play your assessor will see that you demonstrate the following:

• Introduce First Access and its services.
• Provide an overview of Lin's highest priority need and how you feel the organisation in question can meet that need.
• Outline the arrangement and progress already made with the first service provider to ensure there is no duplication between services.
• Outline your proposal for collaboration between First Access and the service provider. This must include:
• • the type of collaborative arrangement
  • the level of collaboration
  • formal and informal communication methods to be used.
• You will need to negotiate these points with the representative.
• • Outline the information sharing processes as established with the service provider in Task 2. Confirm that these methods are appropriate to avoid service duplication and ensure information currency.
  • Represent the organisation in a positive light.
