Choose a structure with a planar truss system $($it can be a building of a national$/$international well$-$known architect$)$ and prepare A$3$ poster presentation.

The required points to be studied in your presentation are listed below:

$1.$ Provide a brief information about the architect, the civil engineer and construction year of the building.

$2.$ Give information about the geometric features of the building $($plan dimensions, number of floors$/$storey heights$).$ You can use technical drawings $($plan$,$ section, elevation$)$ and photos as well.

$3.$ Give information about the load$-$bearing system $($placement of the columns in the plan, column axis spans, column and beam cross$-$sections, floor system$).$

$4,$ Select a single planar truss system and draw its idealized structural model including its supports. Specify the span and the construction height of the truss system. Show the applied loads and support reactions on the diagram. You can apply loads at the upper chord joints $($e$.$g$.5$ kN at each upper chord joint$)$ as external loadings. Calculate the forces at the members using Cremona method. Show your graphical drawing and indicate whether the forces are in compression or in tension.
