I choose Norway for this week's LA. With a population of roughly 5 million, Norway is a tiny Scandinavian nation. With a GDP per person of $89,741 in 2031, it has one of the greatest GDPs worldwide. With a 2020 Gini coefficient of 0.25, it too has the least income inequality of all the OECD nations. With a combination of policies that encourage social welfare, innovation, education, and environmental preservation, Norway is frequently cited as an example of inclusive and sustainable economic development (OECD, 2023).

The economic structure of Norway may be categorized as a social market economy, which combines considerable government intervention and regulation with a free market. A considerable portion of Norway's one-third workforce works in the country's public sector, which contributes over 60% of the country's GDP. The public sector offers its residents free health care, pensions, pensions, and other social benefits.
