Time$-$dependent relationships have been determined as follows:

$1.$ Organizing the sales force, designing the package and ordering the stock from the manufacturer can begin at once.

$2.$ Once the sales office has been organized, hiring of salesmen, selection of an advertising agency and selection of distributors can go on simultaneously.

$3.$ After designing the packige, setting up the packaging facility

$4.$ can begin.

Before packaging the stock, the pack set up and the stock must have been oxdered and received.

$5.$ Training salesmen cannot begin until they have been hired.

$6.$ After selecting an advertising agency, the advertising campaign

$7.$ is planned and conducted in that order.

Selling to distributors cannot take place until after distributors have been$-$selected and salesmen have been trained.

$8.$ Finally, shipping stocks to distributors cannot take place until after stock has been packaged and sold to distributors.

Exercise: Draw a PERT diagram to estimate how long it will take to complete the project and clearly indicate the PERT chart, CPM and the critical tasks and the duration of the project. You can complete it using either Visio or MS Project.
