Class project, ECP 3302 Fall 2017 Due in class Thursday, 12/7 In class we are currently covering economic issues related to global warming. A few weeks ago our earlier topics were fisheries and common property resources. In light of our coverage of these topics, consider the following problem. Your answers should be brief and concise, using the correct terminology. Treat the problem as you would an exam problem - answer the problems posed in each part, and then provide a short explanation of what's happening in that market, setting, or situation. Stick to the problem address the relevant points, but don't add extraneous information. Feel free to use appropriate diagrams or equations. You may use your text, posted outlines, and your own notes. I encourage students to meet & study with one another, but... this isn't a group project - do your own work. 1) With regard to global warming policy, describe the significance of: a) Discounted costs and benefits. b) Public goods. 2) In class we examined similarities between policies aimed at overfishing and at global warming.
