Many students study full-time, work part-time, are parents or spouses, are international students, have personal health problems that place a burden on their days, and are trying to follow COVID-19 guidelines. On top of this, mental health has often been ignored in universities. The TRU Student Union wishes to develop a set of guidelines and suggestions to present to the university regarding student mental health. To aid this, TRUSU is seeking research into the effects of stress on student learning at the post-secondary level. The expected deliverable for this project will be a 800-word report synthesizing current research into the role of stress in post-secondary student lives. The report must provide one recommendation for reducing student stress that can be adopted by the university.
