This (wo) part indlividual assignment is worth 15% of the final course grade due on April 1"t and April 3de at 11:59 PM.
This assignment is a Coaching Role Play to demonstrate essential elements of coaching and a Reflective Paper on your personal development as a coach.
The coaching sessions will occur on April 1th and you must be present and punctual. Late arrivals won't be able to do this assignment. Please arrive on-time.
One section is conducting the coaching sectiori and evaluation of your coach, and another one is writing a reflecting paper. (Details below)
PART ONE: Coaching Role Play Session (worth 10%)-April 1st
You will participate in a live coaching role play session which will take place on Aprill 1st and will be structured in the following manner:
You will sit with your group members as per your group sign up sheet.
You will play 3 roles in this exercise: coach, goachece and observer rotationally.
As coach, you will lead a conversation with the protege with the intent to address and solve a performance issue or any other selected matiers by the coachee.
As coach, you will apply skills of questioning (challenging), empathy, listening, trust, and goal setting
In a 12-15-minute session you are to demonstrate 6 of the coaching elements: trust, listening, empathy. questioning, and goal setting.
The proteg will select the performance issue to be addressed from the list in the marking rubric or select the toplc that they want to be coached on. It is your cholce to select whatever foplic from the list or on your own. However, you must elaborate on the lopic as geachee to give as much as needed information to coach to be able to apply those 6 above mentioned coaching skills.
As coachee, you must bring a one-page document explaining the topic that you would like to be coached. You won't have time to think and write this on April 1st. I will go around to check if you have if done or not.
