We observed that the student got the question correct. What is the probability that the student completely know how to do the question, given this observation (that they got the question correct)? Let us conduct a simulation to estimate this probability. Some notes that might be helpful: - Select a large number B, as the number of simulation repeats, for example 5e6. This helps to mitigate influence of unusual results. Note that the simulation might take some time. - If statements will be very helpful. - The simulation result might not be exactly the same as the correct result computed via Bayes Theorem, but should be very close.
