Cognitive development is influenced by various components based on the theories presented in the lesson. Hollywood films tend to portray and present characters that are clear and distinct types that never change.

Your task is to chooseonepopular media or film character or a well-known fictional character and describe and analyze his/her characteristics/traits in terms oftwo cognitive development theories. (e.g. Piaget's Stage Theory, Vygotsky's Sociocultural Theory, Klahr's Information Processing Theory).

Your report should:

1. Describe two theories of cognitive development and how they are used to explain behaviour.

2. Apply the two theories concepts and criteria to theactions and/orbehavioursof your character/person to suggestreasonsfor their behaviour. Justify your analysis with examples.

3. Evaluate and discuss the strengths and weaknesses of the two theories you have applied to the character. (criticisms of each theory and positive components)
