Collaboration allows for a win-win for all involved. (McKibben, 2017) An agreed solution equals resolution, where all parties see themselves as winners; a positive consequence (p. 101). Collaboration takes time; however, when the conflict is over, people go home satisfied, and the workplace can be restored to a positive environment. When people work together to solve problems, it can create an environment that is positive, and members value one anothers progress, which can motivate them to respect and value one another and diverse perspectives.
