You must use two different types of media across the entries (e.g. one tv show episode and one news article).
For news articles use one that are relatively recent, from the last 3 years. a. Some potential suggestions of places to look (online or in print): New York Times; Washington Post; USA Today; local newspapers; news magazines such as Time, Newsweek, etc. Blog entries or hyperpartisan news sources are not acceptable. 2. For all other types of popular media (i.e., song lyrics, music video, TV show episode, movie) these can be from any date. 3. You may not use any piece of media that contains an analysis or summary of the theorist/theories you are writing about. You must make these connections yourself.
Brief Summary- Briefly summarize the main points of your popular media selection. This should be the shortest part of your paper; provide enough information to set the context of your analysis by focusing on the key aspects that are relevant to the course ideas/concepts/research findings/to be analyzed.

ANALYSIS (300 - 500 word count) analysis; relating media to at least two concepts/ideas from Critical theory
CONCLUSION (200- word count) At least one paragraph that tells the reader what your piece of media tells us about the Conflict Theory you used and its relevance to today based on your analysis
Provide References including the popular media
cite your sources in ASA format in the text of your paper using parenthetical citations and at the end of the paper in a separate References section. Any information that you get from the textbook that you put in your own words should be cited as well.
