When it comes to speaking in public it is never an easy task to put yourself through, even through high school or in any school really teachers look at how you speak and you will be graded on how you speak and the posture and the tone of your voice. It is always important to speak in confidence because you have to believe that the information you are giving out to your audience is accurate, in a persuasive speech if you are stumbling over your words and are unsure if the information is valid the people will not be persuaded at all. As a person who has not done a lot of speeches and public speaking, I cannot really say that I was nervous speaking in front of a crowd, when I talk I usually speak in a hushed tone which could be very annoying sometimes for me cause I cannot help it but over time I have been working on that part of my speech. My teacher in elementary school noticed that and she usually helped me practice when it was just her and me and it helped me over time. During my 3rd grade year, we had to participate in a science fair and when we were finished with our projects we would have to present them in front of the class and with the help of my teacher helped me build enough confidence to where I was able to speak loud and clearly, so my classmate could hear me.
