Post#1: What did you enjoy most about the course, Performance Management? The format of this course was simple to understand while being incredibly engaging. The thought-provoking discussion posts werent simply covering concepts from the book, but provided room for us to expand on the basic PM principles with real-life concepts and examples. This method of learning is very insightful and allowed me to learn effectively. How do you plan to apply what you have learned from the course? I plan to use the knowledge I acquired in this course in an HR internship over the summer, and I am eager to apply my knowledge from not just this course, but from all my HR courses to this position. I am very nervous, but ultimately very excited to learn more about the ins and outs of the HR field. What did you like best about this course? My favorite aspect of this course was the easy-to-follow and flexible format of the discussion assignments and the collaborative nature of the course. I feel like it allowed me to learn a lot of important knowledge from the textbook, as well as from my peers. How we can improve this course? While the course was ultimately very effective on its own, I do think it would be helpful to incorporate short lecture-style commentary on certain concepts deemed significant, as it would reinforce the knowledge we acquire from the textbook and discussion responses.

What did you enjoy most about the course, Performance Management? Funnily enough, the thing I enjoyed most about this course was learning more about performance management. I enjoyed reading more about the effects it can have on a company as well as everyone else's experiences and opinions about it as well. How do you plan to apply what you have learned from the course? I do eventually plan to take on a leadership/management role in the future so I'd like to apply what we've learned here to that. I see and read about a lot of employee's dissatisfaction with their experience in the workplace and a lot of that is due to management and feeling undervalued. I'd like to be a manager that not only is enjoyable to work with but also one who helps their employees. What did you like best about this course? I think what I really liked about this course was the pacing. I felt like there was plenty of time to learn the content and I hardly ever felt rushed or lost with the content. How we can improve this course? I can't think of any suggestions I would give to improve the course, everything was great to me.
