Comment to each
1.When someone gets into trouble with the law in our country, U.S., which do you think is more important: race, ethnicity, immigration status or money?
This is good because if it is trying to get out of trouble none will be legal. If it is in general, I think money will be important, because of the power behind it.
2. Who do you think is ultimately responsible for educating kids? Remember, research has shown that it is not the government. (Linton, R. 1936).
I ultimeately think that parents are responsible for educating children. I think it is parents responsiblitiy to make sure their children are passing their classes and studying daily. It is not the educators fault if the child is not succeeding. Educators have at least 20 students and can not be responsible for all of them to do the extra work outside the classroom. If parents truly want their children to be succesfull they should be working with them daily on what they are learning inside the classroom. Educators give the students the tools, it is on the parents to make sure the students perfect those tools.
3. I graduated highschool in 2016 and now I am a substitute teacher in a highschool and I have seen a lot change. In my school the children do not have a dress code. Well actually they do but it is not enforced at all. So you could imagine what these kids could come up with to put on. When I was in school I hated the fact that there was a dress code, but now looking back I am grateful that there was one. As much as these children preach that clothing is not a distraction to others, it definitely is. I have seen the craziest outfits and the most inappropriate outfits. So what I am getting to is I would bring back discipline in the schools. I feel that now the school districts are scared to disciple the students who act out or do not follow the rules. I believe that they are scared of the parents retalating, but the parents should be helping the teachers out when it comes to disciplining their children because we should all want our kids to be well behaved and actually come to school to learn something. I would want teachers to have more support in classrooms. Teachers should be able to TEACH without being disrupted, and I believe an aditional AID in a classroom would make that happen.
