EDGAR Database Research Case

As an experienced senior auditor for a national public accounting firm, you have been assigned to be in charge of the audit of a new client who is a publicly traded corporation. Since there are no previous years workpapers to follow, you decide to do some background research to become acquainted with this client using resources available on the internet.

Requirements: 1. Search the SEC's web site from the EDGAR database (https://www.sec.gov/edgar/search/) for your assigned company. The company selected will be your new client as discussed.

2. make a summary listing of 5 of the reports your client made to the SEC over the last year (the annual 10-K should be included as one of these reports).

Describe the contents of each of these reports and summarize the information that your assigned company reported on each of these filings.

(This can be bulleted format with approximately a paragraph for each report.)
