be creating a Powerpoint presentation on the company of your choice. Please pick a publicly traded company so that you will have enough data available for you to complete the Powerpoint presentation. Please make an effort to have information for every slide, but in the case that you are completely unable to find information on the topic, please just provide that information on your slide. Your company will be researched briefly by your professor, so please make sure that you truly could not find information before including this on a slide. During your assigned presentation date, you will share your Powerpoint with the class and explain the information you were able to find on your company. The slides will go in the following order and will include the following information:

Slide 1 includes name of your company, a picture representing your company, your name, and the class title.

Slide 2- Introduction intro slide that describes who your company is and what they do. Include: In what major industry does the company operate?Provide a brief description of what your company does, how large it is, how it is doing financially, or any other introductory information that you would like to include in your presentation.

Slide 3- Organizational Structure- Create or locate an organizational chart for your company. Companies sometimes post an organizational chart within the corporate section of their website. If you have to create one, there is a template in either MS Word or PowerPoint that can assist you.The chart should include the board of directors and senior leaders at a minimum.Is it a tall or flat structure? What is their structural design (five approaches)? Is the company centralized or decentralized?

Slide 4- Global Operations- Research information about the company's global/ international operations.

1.How long has the company been doing business globally?

2.In what countries does the company operate?

3.How many locations does the company have at an international level?

4.How much of the company's sales is generated outside of the United States?

Your company's website and their 10K Report will be helpful resources for this assignment.In addition, you should review the Gale Business Insights Database.

Slide 5- Ethics or Social Responsibility- Locate at least one example of an ethical or socially responsible activity that your company engages in.Rememberthat a company's code of ethics is also an example.The company's corporate websiteand/or news articles about the company are also good sources for completing this assignment.

Slide 6- Human Resources- Research current job openings at your company and address the following questions.

1.Is your company currently recruiting new employees?What kinds of jobs are available?

2. Does the company promote diversity?

3. What employee benefits does your company offer?

4. After reviewing the job posting and/or other information on the company's website, what additional insight did you gain about what it's like to work for your company?

5. Based on the information you reviewed, do you believe your company is an attractive place to work?Why or why not?

Slide 7- Leadership- Locate information about the company's Board of Directors. Remember that the company's corporate website can be a source of this information (look under "Investor Relations" or "Corporate Governance"), and you could also find a list in the Business Source Elite library database--click on the Company Profiles tab at the top of the screen once you're in the database, type in the company's name to begin your search.Once you've located the company, click on the attached report (which is a pdf file).Within this report, there may be a Board of Directors list, along with other company information. In addition to locating an actual list of your company's board of directors, also address the following information.

1.What is the primary purpose of a board of directors?

2.What do you notice in regards to any of the following things about the makeup of your company's board of directors and the senior leadership team:

a.The ratio of men to women

b.Do you notice any particular experience or expertise that the directors may bring to your company's board?

3.Who is the CEO of the company and does this leader follow a particular type of leadership based on your class readings?

4.Does the leadership team represent the culture that the company conveys?

Slide #8- Conclusion- This slide should include any additional information about your company and/or a summary of what you have learned about your company and its management that you feel is relevant to this class.
