Students apply for admission with the university to enter a given course. Personal detail, a registration deposit as well as a study record must be submitted, but it need not happen concurrently, because the study record often becomes available later. All applications are immediately checked for the right deposit. An application that does not contain the right deposit is returned to the student. The applicant is accepted or rejected by comparing their detail with the requirements of the proposed course. This is done via an admission committee. Both successful and unsuccessful students are informed of the result after the evaluation process. The applications close at the end of October, after which the evaluations start. A receipt is issued for each deposit received, regardless of the result of the application (assume this applies to applications with sufficient deposits). No deposit is paid back (sufficient deposits), and insufficient deposits are not banked (these are returned with the application to the prospective student).
