From Visual Basic book - Chapter 2:

Read chapter 2 and be sure to do all the things from the very beginning of the chapter.

You must submit the following for grading:

1. Topic 2.2: Focus on Problem Solving: Responding to Events - 10 points

Note: Chapter 2 begins with Topic 2.1, Focus on Problem Solving: Building the Directions Application. After Topic 2.1, Topic 2.2, Focus on Problem Solving: Responding to Events follows.

In the opening Concept paragraph of Topic 2.2 it states, In this section, your write event handlers for the Directions application.

These two topics, 2.1 and 2.2, comprise 2.1 through 2.13. Once you complete the in Topics 2.1 and 2.2 you will have written the Visual Basic project application entitled, Directions.

You need to zip the Directions project application following the zipping instructions for VB projects found in our Blackboard class menu option entitled, VB Zipping Instructions and then upload it for grading in the VB Assignment area.

2. Programming Challenge #7: Joke and Punch line - 10 points

Note: You need to zip the Programming Challenge project application following the zipping instructions for VB projects found in our Blackboard class menu option entitled, VB Zipping Instructions and then upload it for grading also.

Once both zip files are uploaded for grading, you then click the VB Assignment SUBMIT button.

Note: Chapter 2 begins with Topic 2.1, Getting Started with Forms and Controls. After Topic 2.1, the next is Topic 2.2, Creating a GUI for Your First Visual Basic Application: The Hello World Application. Next is Topic 2.3, Writing the Code for the Hello World Application.

Once you complete the things in Topics 2.1, 2.2 and 2.3 you will have written the Visual Basic project application entitled, Hello World.

You need to zip the Hello World project application following the zipping instructions for VB projects found in our Blackboard class menu option entitled, VB Zipping Instructions and then upload it for grading in the VB Assignment area.

2. Programming Challenge #8: Joke and Punchline - 10 points

Note: You need to zip the Programming Challenge project application following the zipping instructions for VB projects found in our Blackboard class menu option entitled, VB Zipping Instructions and then upload it for grading also.

Once both zip files are uploaded for grading, you then click the VB Assignment SUBMIT button.
