Compose as much as you can you will select a known couple or family and analyze them using theories and concepts

Provide a summary of them: who they are, what they do, how long they have been together, how many kids they have, information about the children, if available. It must be clear from your description that you have studied and analyzed your subject.

Theory Analysis: What family theory came to mind as particularly relevant to the family portrayed? Choose one of the family theories we discussed (remember not all of the theories are in our textbook) and explain the family's situation from the perspective of that theory. For example, if you choose family systems theory, you would discuss how you saw things like mutual influence, homeostasis, roles, etc. You are expected to use the language of the theory (e.g., see ppt lectures).

If you want to be ambitious you are also welcome to compare/contrast two theories, but this is optional.

Family Analysis: Pick 2-3 major concepts we have discussed so far in this class and explain how they apply to the couple/family. For example you could discuss family structure, state and family arenas interacting, sexual values, social class, any aspects of identity, etc. Explain each concept and explain how it applies to the film. Lessons Learned: To wrap up, include a paragraph explaining how applying family theories and concepts helped you better understand the couple/family, including what you learned from this exercise overall
