Project Marking Scheme

Marks: 50 (25%)

Your company is expanding and planning to buy 10 workstations for their bigger operations. The company however has connection with a computer hardware supplier. You are assigned to manage this new project to build new PCs which, after much calculation, is much more cheaper than buying a whole set.

The following are other considerations:

1. PCs are all connected in a LAN environment, being clients for a Windows Server.

2. Eight of the PCs are for regular work use. Applications that have to be installed are Office Enterprise, including Microsoft Project.

3. Two of the PCs are for multimedia related project.

4. All PCs must be compatible with the Internet usage.

5. All PCs must have anti-malware softwares.

Based on the above scenarios, answer the following questions:

1) List all the hardware specifications will you acquire, and justify your choice.

2) Briefly describe steps in building PCs.
