You are related to an in-law who recently had a slip-and-fall accident at a retail outlet. Your position at a law firm specializing in torts and civil claims leads you to inquire to your relative about the possibility of litigation. They decide to move forward. Thinking you have done a good deed, you inquire to your colleagues about the case. Not knowing you are the litigants relative, they openly call the case a dog, and they are bleeding out the case simply for the publicity. They intend to stretch the case out for two years, leaving the plaintiff with high legal bills, if she drops the case. If she continues the case, she wont lose, but wont gain any money. The case involves several appearances for hearing, causing some discomfort and annoyance for plaintiff. So, DO YOU TELL PLAINTIFF?
