a) Star (One node in center, all other nodes have one line to center node. Figure 1.25a shows several stars connected together.)

b) Ring (Figure 4-7 in 5th edition or Figure 1.7b in 4th edition)

c) Complete interconnection (Every node has a direct link to every other node.)

For each topology, give the best, worst, and average path length, measured in hops, needed to send a packet (no self traffic). A hop is 1 link. Show work and explain your answers. (It would definitely help to draw an example with say 5 nodes in each topology first.)
