Consider a 99.1% efficient ESP which removes fly ash from combustion gases flowing at 800,000 acfm. The resistivity of the ash is 1.0 x 1011 ohm-cm. Calculate the total collection area required. Refer to Figure 5.7 in this document for calculating drift velocity using resistivity.
