Economical: Currently experiencing an economic slowdown, the customer base will have less consumer buying power. The company can use this to its advantage to help people who want affordable African produce. Social: There is consumer priority on necessity over worldly desires.
There are more significant trends and internet exposure to new food trends and healthy eating, especially in the Portland area. The customer base will be interested in healthy eating, education, and new recipes/ideas that our clients can leverage. Technological: Technology is readily available and consumers rely heavily for daily activities and information access. Our client should have an interactive website and increase internet exposure for future growth and outreach. Environmental: There is great importance in sustainability and global warming. Portland is a busy city constantly finding innovative and creative ways to decrease carbon foot print and make positive impactful changes. Our client being in the agricultural industry can integrate such consumer desires. Logical: Employment laws, health/safety food handling regulations, and non-profit legality. Depending on how the client plans on progressing to remain non-profit or to become for-profit.
