Consider how you might work most effectively as a collaborative director. Would you prefer a board that left the decision-making to you and expected an annual report about what you had done? Or would you prefer a situation in which you had to check back with people in authority on a regular basis to get the benefit of their thinking after which you would follow their lead as you continue your work?
