Consider the ULM Library for a moment. The ULM library contains thousands

of books, including non$-$fiction, fiction, and references. An entry has been

created in the ULM Library electronic catalog for each of these books.

ULM Library patrons, which include ULM students and employees, can search

the ULM Library electronic catalog to determine whether a book meeting

specific criteria exists on one of the many shelves in the library.

If a search is fruitful, then a ULM student or employee, which includes ULM

faculty and staff members, may check out minimally one book, but at most

three books at any time.

A ULM librarian, which is also a ULM staff member, can create new entries in

the ULM Library electronic catalog for new books. Likewise, they can delete

existing entries in the catalog for books that will be soon removed from the

library
