Consider the value chain elements shown in Figure 4.3 of the text. Based on these elements, provide an overview of the value chain of an organization you are familiar with or one that you research.

Include in your overview statistics that describe the organization such as its product/service, size, # of employees, etc. Then, discuss how the company is implementing each element of its value chain, and assess how each element contributes to the overall customer value proposition. Determine if the company's resources and capabilities have sufficient competitive power to give it an advantage over competitors.

Once you have defined the initial value chain, develop a set of recommendations concerning how the company might reduce the costs of internally performed value chain activities, improve the effectiveness of the customer value proposition, and improve the value chain activities of forward channel allies.
