a$)$ Determine the required axial strength $($in kips$)$ for braces BR$1$ and BR$2.$ Identify the required axial

strength as either tension or compression.

b$)$ Determine the required compressive strength $($in kips$)$ for columns C$1,$ C$2,$ C$3,$ C$4,$ C$5,$ and C$6.$

c$)$ Determine the required tensile strength $($in kips$)$ for columns C$3$ and C$4($if any$).$

It is recommended that you perform an independent analysis for each unfactored load type, and then

combine the member$-$level forces using load factors.
