Your focus of this role play will be on the initial stage of the conversation with both Tanis and Debra having their first conjoint session. They are in the room together for the first time with the mediator.

Your conversation should include the concepts below. You have 8 minutes.

You will have to be brief and to the point for all of the below to make it fit the time frame. You do not need to "complete" the entire mediation.

• The Definition of informal Mediationincluding the role of mediator. (Explain to the participants why this informal method was chosen and your role)..
• A brief review of the mediation steps, beginning to end, including acknowledgment of any previous steps already taken by the mediator, including coaching parties alone.
