The Hatcher Company (HC) is in the process of developing a new inventory management process. One of the event handling processes is Receive Supplier Shipments. The business process analyst on this project has spent time in the warehouse observing this process and found the following list of activities that are performed: a staff getting the new order in the warehouse, a staff unpacking the boxes, a staff making sure that all the ordered items were actually received, a staff putting the items on the correct shelves, a staff dealing with the supplier to reconcile any discrepancies, a staff adjusting the inventory quantities on hand, and a staff passing along the shipment information to the accounts payable office.
