To demonstrate competency in this unit, a person must access a published real estate industry prosecution where consumer protection requirements were breached and develop a report / unit summary that includes:

-" a description of the unethical practice and its impact on the consumer / agent /agency

-" an explanation of how the unethical practice relates to consumer protection requirements

-" an explanation of real estate ethical standards and codes of conduct or codes of practice related to the prosecution, including those that could have been applied and would demonstrate ethical practice

-" options and strategies available to respond to a discrepancy between unethical practice and ethical practice standards including sources of specialist advice.
