Correlations refer to the statistical relationship or similarity between two or more variables that do not specifically imply causation and effect (Cohen et al., 2022). The correlation between two or more variables indicates that if one variable changes, so does the other variable. This can also be referred to as correlation coefficients. Research in correlational studies provides insight into the strength and direction of relationships that exist between two variables or entities (Gupta, 2023)
